	The A-Flat Music Youth Orchestra and the A-Flat Music Studio Inc. were founded by Darryl Chamberlain after noticing in the year 2004 that many Kansas City schools had dropped or diminished their instrumental music classes. Darryl Chamberlain felt that music study should be an important part of a school's curriculum. Students who have love for music should be given the opportunity to study it and perform it. Chamberlain began purchasing instruments by which to build an orchestra in 2005. Within a few years, Chamberlain was able to collect enough instruments for two concert bands and the A-Flat Music Studio Inc. was formed to support that effort. The A-Flat Music Studio provides instrumental music instruction for students across the Kansas City metroplex. A-Flat Music Studio Inc. conducts formal music instruction for students who want to learn the fundamentals and foundations that pertain to good music performance. A-Flat Music Studio Inc. is the developing agency for The A-Flat Youth Orchestra. The students have been featured on the NBC Today Show, Feel Good Friday segment along with numerous other broadcasts and media outlets across the nation. The A-Flat Youth Orchestra prepares to perform at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts in 2019.
